Pembroke has become one of the most desirable towns on the South Shore in which to live.  With a pleasant mix of reasonable priced homes and a quaint New England town center, Pembroke has continued its steady but moderate growth in new homes while maintaining its character as a historic New England town.  The citizens of Pembroke are committed to the education of their children and in supporting community facilities for all citizens.   Pembroke recently completed a spectacular new Town Library and has established an independent junior and senior high school system.  Pembroke's students scored very competitively in the recent MCAS state testing.  With three neighborhood elementary schools controlled by the Pembroke School Committee, education has been a priority for town residents.
